The Pet Physio, we’re passionate about providing expert care in animal rehabilitation, helping pets recover, move comfortably and enjoy life to the fullest — while ensuring owners feel informed, confident and supported every step of the way.
Sarah Sojka started The Pet Physio and has always had a deep love for animals. Although she originally dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, her path shifted when her family dog suddenly lost the ability to walk. Seeing how physiotherapy helped him regain mobility was life-changing, inspiring Sarah to specialise in veterinary physiotherapy - a field that allows her to combine her care for animals with her physiotherapy expertise.
Sarah graduated as a human physiotherapist from Monash University in 2011 and worked in the public health system before pursuing her passion for animal rehabilitation. Since 2015, she has dedicated her career to veterinary physiotherapy and animal hydrotherapy. She holds a Master’s in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool - a three-year program that included advanced coursework and a research dissertation. Sarah also contributes to the profession by assisting in the teaching of new veterinary physiotherapy students.
Sarah loves working with animals of all sizes. She currently lives with Sox, her 10-year-old rescue Greyhound, and grew up surrounded by Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Jack Russells and Fox Terriers. While dogs make up most of her caseload, she also enjoys treating cats and rabbits.
She has extensive experience supporting pets through many conditions and surgeries, including:
If you’re looking for expert rehabilitation with a warm, personal touch, you’re in the right place. Sarah looks forward to helping your furry family member move, heal and thrive.
